Engineering Organization Fund (EOF)

The Student Engineers' Council (SEC) at Virginia Tech established the Engineering Opportunity Fund (EOF) to provide financial support to engineering student organizations. EOF plays a crucial role in ensuring that engineering-related initiatives receive the necessary funding to thrive, innovate, and positively impact the university community.
Purpose and Impact
EOF is designed to assist student engineering organizations in purchasing necessary materials, software, supplies for outreach, and various other needs for their programs or projects. EOF has been instrumental in enabling student teams to develop new technologies, enhance their programs, and create innovative solutions that benefit the engineering community at Virginia Tech.
Each year, the SEC allocates a significant portion of its revenue to EOF, distributing over $140,000 to eligible applicants. These funds have empowered students to pursue ambitious projects, advance their technical skills, and gain hands-on experience that supplements their academic learning.
