Scholarships — $42k+ Annually

At the Student Engineers' Council (SEC), we are dedicated to empowering engineering students at Virginia Tech through our comprehensive scholarship programs, designed to support academic achievement, leadership, service, and inclusivity within the College of Engineering.

SEC Scholarship
$10k to 3 students ($30k total). Recurring annual scholarship awarded to Pell Grant eligible student each year.

$2k to 2 students ($4k total). Supporting student leaders within the College of Engineering.

$2k to 2 students ($4k total). Supporting students who exhibit great service, on or off campus.

Faculty Awards — $4k+ Annually

At the Student Engineers' Council (SEC), we honor exceptional contributions within the College of Engineering through various awards. These include the College of Engineering Sporn Award for Excellence in Teaching Engineering Subjects, and other accolades recognizing outstanding faculty research and student organization advising efforts.

$2k bonus paid by VT. Awarded to a faculty member demonstrating excellence in the classroom.
