Responsibilities
The Publicity Chair creates all SEC promotional materials and promotes all SEC events to the Virginia Tech engineering student body while constantly looking to expand the public's knowledge of the SEC. The Publicity Chair has the responsibility to manage the SEC Brand Guidelines and collaborate with engineering organizations to publicize events.

Background
Laasya is from Leesburg, Virginia and came to Virginia Tech to pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Academically, she is interested in development centered around user-experience and human-centered design. She is a member of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE), Science Olympiad, and the professional STEM sorority, Alpha Omega Epsilon. Outside of school, Laasya enjoys spending time with friends/family, music, workout classes, and traveling.
