Responsibilities
The Director of Relations is responsible for all external communications and branding of the SEC. This includes facilitating relations between the engineering student body, university engineering administration, and industry partners. The DOR also acts as a liaison between the executive board and the engineering student body, informing the community about all SEC opportunities.

Background
Emily is from Ocean City, Maryland and came to Virginia Tech to pursue a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Academically, she is interested in project management and sustainable construction. In addition to the SEC, Emily is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the professional STEM sorority, Alpha Omega Epsilon. Outside of school, Emily enjoys painting, music, going to the beach, and traveling.
